The PCB 8068 has been developed for Märklin locomotives of the Re 460 and Ae 6/6 series to digitize them in the easiest and cleanest way. The PCB is equipped with a 21MTC interface, all important connections are lead out to large solder pads.

The 8068 version is intended for locomotives equipped with incandescent bulbs, which are to be converted to LED with the LED light modules 8086 (available separately) or similar. Under part number 8067, a version is available for digitizing the locomotive while retaining the existing bulbs.

The circuit board has a size of 32 x 18mm and therefore fits exactly into the Re 460 and certain Ae 6/6 instead of the existing circuit board (Märklin 62 2550) and is fixed with the existing screw.
Examples for Ae 6/6: 3339, 3636 and similar with diode PCB.

Hint: Use a decoder with amplified Aux outputs like the ESU LokPilot V4.0 M4 MKL (64618), so that you have full decoder voltage at the Aux 3 and Aux 4 connectors and can connect loads to them.

What is the difference between the articles 8067 and 8068?
Simply put, article 8067 has two diodes more than article 8068.
These two diodes ensure that the rear right-hand lamp in the direction of travel is always lit when the front lamps are lit. This is the so-called Swiss light change.
So if your locomotive has only white lamps or LEDs (like many original Märklin versions with two bulbs each at the front and rear), use item number 8067.
If your locomotive has additional red tail lights (or is to be equipped with them), use item number 8068.
With a little skill, you can of course solder or remove the diodes yourself at a later date.
