The ESU Class 610 electric locomotive, formerly the Ae 6/6, with road number 610 487-1 and the Langenthal town crest, represents a powerhouse of Swiss rail freight transport. The model replicates the locomotive in the modern SBB Cargo livery.

This highly detailed 1:87 scale model for HO gauge is a completely new design, featuring a robust metal body and frame. It has universal electronics for both power systems. A plug-in pickup shoe and a slide switch allow for easy switching between two-rail DC operation and center-rail AC operation.

The factory-installed ESU LokSound 5 decoder supports DCC, Motorola®, M4, and Selectrix, and automatically registers with digital command stations via RailComPlus® or mfx®. A coreless motor with flywheel drives four axles. An integrated PowerPack storage capacitor ensures an uninterrupted power supply.

Highlights

Digital features include raising and lowering pantographs, a curve sensor for authentic squealing sounds on curves, and visual brake sparks during braking. Engine room and cab lighting, as well as Swiss-style headlight configuration, are included. A clear view through the detailed engine room, finely detailed bogies, freestanding grab rails, etched running boards, and a recessed driver figure complete the model.
